Surrounding – The things availablein the neighbourhoodare called surrounding.

Ex– People, Car, Dustbin, Plants etc.

 

Places in our neighbourhood:

Neighbour – The people who live near us are called neighbour.

 

Neighbourhood – The place around our house iscalled neighbourhood.

Ex– Grocery shop, market, clinic, school, park, polish station, bank, post office etc.

 

Clean and Green Neighbourhood

We should keep our neighbourhood clean and green because-

Clean neighbourhood keeps us healthy.

Green plants make the surrounding air clean and fresh.

Dirty areas can make us sick.

 

Grocery shop – The shop where we buy rice, sugar, dal and flour etc. is called grocery shop.

 

Market – The place where we go to buy or sell things is called market.

There are many types of shops are in the market.

Ex- fruits and vegetable shops, shoeshops, cloth shops, sweet shop and many more shops

 

Clinic – The place where we go to receive special medical treatment is called clinic.

It is small hospital or a part of hospital.

When weare sick, we go to clinic or hospital.

 

School – The place where children go to be educated is called school.

 

Park – The place where we go to play in the evening is called park

 

Post office –The place where we can buy stamps, send money and parcels to anyone is called post office.

The post man works in post office.

Bank – The place where we kept our money safe is called bank.

 

Police station – The place where police work is called police station.

The police are very helpful andthey keep us safe.
